Rates
I charge a fixed fee per session- contact me for details. I do not charge for collateral services such as speaking with insurance or providing documentation.
Insurance
While I am not on insurance panels, many of my patients receive substantial out-of-network reimbursement. I am a strong advocate for my patients and will help you to optimize such claims. Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your health insurance to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.
I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
- Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
- What are the customary reimbursement rates for psychiatrist visits (Dr. Stern will provide you the codes necessary to get this information).
Payment
I accept cash, check, most cash apps and all major credit cards as forms of payment. You may also pay directly on this page below.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session.
